We​dding gift for my friends Catherine and Aaron.  Painted from photographs I took at a mangrove in the middle of Panama City.  Sounds weird but it's true.  The iPhone 16 creates images with very little contrast, which makes for a very interesting interpretation process.  Also because of the medium size of the painting as well as the distance from the subject, painting little leaves became an exercise in pointillism.

The lizard (which is huge in real life) is TINY.  Getting the little hand right was satisfying af.
